Apologies if this has already been queried, I did try and find another mention of it.
Since upgrading to 4.2.3, I'm getting excessive memory use from ndigitalhost when nextpvr is idle. Last time I caught it at 900mb and this time around 700mb. Restarting the recording service seems to solve it temporarily.
I've attached a screengrab of task manager and my log files... anybody else seen this?
I'm a new user to NextPVR. I'm very happy so far but I'm having a big issue with the web server service, whether it be browser or android app.
Basically, I can start up NextPVR, open up the web portal and jump around from "scheduler" tab and "recordings" tab cause i guess its not much a strain on the software, but the second I jump to "Now" to see the listing of channels or "guide" to see the guide, the thing will hang for a couple of seconds and then if I hit refresh or try to jump to another page, its dead and returns a "this site cannot be reached" like the server is down.
The same thing largely happens with the Android app too, although it crashes even faster in that case.
I'm running the server on Win10 on a SSD. The channels are IPTV channels.
When I'm in the NextPVR client itself, things seem to work fine, although I haven't actually really tried since this whole web server part started, since ive been focused on that.
If NextPVR tunes to a channel that has an issue so cannot get a signal lock, it just hangs, sometimes it may come back after a few minutes, other times not. This happens in both the stand alone client or using the Kodi plugin. Kodi has a setting to timeout after 10 seconds that works fine with other PVR's but ius ignored by NextPVR I have used but NextPVR just hangs the system. This makes it very fragile, suitable for devs, or experimentation but not really viable to be integrated into a family home. Can it be fixed to respect the timeout set in Kodi and added to the settings in NextPVR?
So that's 200 * 0.05s = 10 seconds, so it looks like that was what was intended but it doesn't work. Is it down to the NextPVR server, given it also fails on their own client?
NextPVR Kodi plugin doesn't remember the group setting it was on when it is re-run. Si setting up a group for kids it just reverts back to all channels. ServerWMC I used previously worked fine in this regard. I migrated to NextPVR to gain easier control of channel changes, but that ease is being thwarted by basics that don't work correctly.
I installed X-New on a beta libreelec release using the new raspberry pi 3 A+ and it seems to work except the web interface (Nextpvr skin). Is it yet supported for Leia? Thanks
I'm new to the whole IPTV scene, so please forgive me if my questions seem overly simplistic. I've looked through the thread history back several pages, but if my questions have been answered previously and you can point me to the thread, TIA.
1. I'm running my IPTV service through a proprietary app on a Fire Stick. When I update the EPG using the provided url inside that app, all seems to work fairly accurately. However, when I'm in NextPVR, which I'm running on a Windows 10 machine, the channels are all recognized but the EPG update only comes back with about 40 of the 6000+ channels. Does anybody have any ideas why?
2. The EPG in NextPVR doesn't seem to be executing the scheduled update as expected. I've confirmed that the settings are correct and show the EPG is supposed to be updating nightly, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Is there a config file somewhere that might be overriding that setting?
I'm desperate to cut the cord, but can't get the family's permission to do that until I can show them that the programs will be here when they are ready to watch them, so again, thanks for the help.
Ok, Got a weird one for everyone. My moms DVR is acting up. It seems that the recording service is not starting. I have tried everything. Virus scan, Malware scan, Defrag, CCleaner scan. Rebooted the computer a few times.
I get the following popups. I get the N with white dots in the 4 corners in the tray icon.
I really do not want to have to uninstall and reinstall.
Please help.

Good Day...I was wondering if there are any plans to allow channel imports using their respective Station ID. It seems that every channel lineup I have access to has a unique StationID to identify the respective channel. Reviewing my SD account, I noticed that my UK lineups have every channel listed as "0" but it does have a unique Station ID attached to each channel. Freestat and USA lineups however do list both a channel number and Station ID. Just thinking...Cheers!!
I am having issues with latest version of the Nextpvr Addon on Kodi 18.0 RC5.
TV is not playing well, pausing and buffering
Sometimes also it reports PVR backend not available.
Checked network and also tried playing from within Nextpvr on the same machine where the server is located and it plays fine.

I have had a problem lately with some shows which are set up as recurring but on the schedule from Schedules Direct not showing to record. If I then hit quick record on the show it records fine. The shows I have noticed lately are 9-1-1,FBI, NCIS, and S.W.A.T.. The only commonality I have noticed is none of them have a lower case letter in them. Some are set up as record all on one channel or on all channels.
My HDHomeRun Prime died recently. Apparently SiliconDust no longer manufactures the HDRD3-CC model. They have a six tuner "Coming Soon", but no one knows when it will be released. I've been watching Ebay, hoping to find a used one at an affordable price, but used devices are selling for more that what I paid for a new device. So......I'm looking for a replacement.
What else can I use besides a HDHomeRun Prime? What does everyone else use, and what works best with NPVR?

So not sure if anyone has seen this type of issue before or not... ITV HD in the UK appears to stutter quite heavily. I.e. pixelation / stutter of the image etc.
I've tried returning, different tuners. All to no avail.
I googled the issue and apparently Panasonic Freesat boxes have the same issue & the workaround it to set the lowosc to
<lowosc>9758</lowosc>
This then makes the channel work perfectly.
I'm not sure what the lowosc does & why it fixes the issue, if someone knows please let me know.
However if others are having the same issue then you might want to try it.
FYI I used a custom ini to tune only this channel so as not to change the settings for other channels.
Question folks, Looking for the best solution for my home. I have NPVR with iptv setup but what would be the best way to get to the tv in my home. I have fire sticks, roki tv and samsung smart tv. Not really into setting up Kodi what would be the best solution , is there some guides out there?
I recently started having a problem where when I press play on a recorded show it takes 2-5 minutes to begin playback.
What could be causing this? Any help appreciated
Good Day...I was wondering why NPVR would be loosing the channel mappings I have set up. I noticed today That several channels I have set up for UK and US regions have suddenly un-populated/disconnected from the mapping I have setup. I use SD for the EPG data and I am not understanding why the channels would be going through a disconnection phase. Can you shed some light on this as this has become a frustrating exercise after mapping several channels. I don't know if this is a common action but if you need the logs, just let me know. I have encountered a similar problem to the one I reported under https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthrea...ed-Guide-Entry where a 0x19 was encountered in the Program Description sourced from the Freeview OTA EPG data. This time the 0x19 is in the Program Title and its impacts seem sufficiently different to warrant a check if the planned fix for the earlier reported problem will also fully cover this one.
When selecting the entry from the guide, to set up a recurring recording request for the related series, an error dialog is displayed as shown in the attachment. No Pending Recording entries are created and when navigating to the Recurring Recordings view the same error dialog gets displayed. When the "Continue" option is chosen in the error dialog no entry is shown for the attempted request in the Recurring Recordings view. However, browsing NPVR.db3 I could see a row for the attempted request had been created in the RECURRING_RECORDING table and as expected there was no related row in the SCHEDULED_RECORDING table.
To remove the row from RECURRING_RECORDING that was giving the persistent error dialog I edited the XML field value to remove the 0x19 - this stopped the error dialog and made the request visible in the Recurring Recording view allowing me to delete it. Before I deleted the entry I made various attempts (eg. updating the padding) to get the system to generate the pending recording request but to no avail - probably because there was no longer a match between the Program Title stored for the EPG and the XML value for the title in the recurring recording entry. If it addresses all XML parsing/etc. in the application it's probably in this area where the planned fix for the earlier problem needs to be careful such that the EPG Program Title stored in the database matches the Program Title that gets stored in a recurring recording entry.
To work around this situation, after deleting the incomplete recurring recording request, I set up a keyword recurring recording request that successfully created the required Pending Recording entries. Interestingly the Pending Recording entries are shown in the NextPVR GUI but not in NEWA - I guess this is an artefact of the originally reported problem that I didn't spot before. As I run a combined Emby/NextPVR set-up I can confirm the Emby Theater client does show both the keyword recurring recording request entry and the generated pending recording requests.
Hopefully the information I've provided will allow an assessment of the completeness of the planned fix for the original problem. If you need any extra information for this flavour - NPVR logs, etc. - don't hesitate to ask.
