NPVR Service Keeps Stopping
Several times in the past few days, I have found the NPVR Service in a 'Stopped' state and have had to Start it again. This has caused a number of programme recordings to be missed. This morning it has happened again. Is there anything I can do to prevent this behaviour? Has anything changed recently to cause this - I have been a user of NextPVR for a couple of years (and have donated), but have not encountered this problem before about two weeks ago.

DVB EPG does not update
Using Hauppage PC card. Used to update but not anymore on several channels. Ran channel update on Hauppage client and it works fine but when switching the NPVR several channels not updated and no video. Go to details to update EPG but no help.

Recording 1080P with Colossus 2
I have Verizon FIOS STB that produces 1080p connected to Colossus 2 via HDMI. If I record a .ts with Hauppauge Capture, Mediainfo shows that the .TS file is "Progressive". If I record same thing with NPVR, Mediainfo shows that the .TS file is "Interlaced". I observed there is no 1080p "Mode" in the current config file. Is is possible to have NPVR record in 1080P? Am I missing something?

EPG error message
I am running 4.2.4 and recently began having issues with my EPG. I have an active subscription to Schedules Direct. As I am updating the EPG, I receive the following message when seeking data for channels 0-10. Channels 11 - 29 work as expected. I have cleared the EPG and then attempted to update many times. Any suggestions of where to begin?

Manual Recording - Web Panel
Hi Folks,
This may be a request, but I don't suppose there is a way I can manual record without using Kodi or Nlite?
I have thousands of channels which makes it a nightmare on NLite to search through each of them to find a channel, and would be much better on the web panel which is my main interface.

IPTV daily cleaning and updating channels possibility?
Hi, I just successfully setup NPVR with my IPTV service and with the help of a guy that has some Linux skills (i'm a noob at a lot), I am running a daily script that updates certain channels that have name changes on a daily basis (like MLB, NFL, PPV etc...) The channel name has the event for that day/week. The script gives the channels a unique ID, so the I can keep the same channel number (but update the channel name/event for that day)
I was excited to see NPVR working so quickly with the Kodi addon. The next day I realized that the m3u doesn't get updated daily, so I searched the forums and found where @sub recommended to someone to run "nextpvr.exe -m3u". Although that worked, It kept the old channels with now expired channel names (day before's event) and added the new channels, but a the end.
I'm trying to figure out a way to cleanly update the channels (names) while removing the old ones and putting the updated channels name in their original order. (if that makes sense). Is there some sort of update channel names box that I'm not seeing?

Windows Server Crashed When Recording Disk Filled
I came home Thursday night (8/8/19) about 23:15 and found that the V5 test server had crashed. Unfortunately, since the log didn't get flushed, the .3 log in this .zip doesn't show the actual crash, so probably isn't too useful.
And nothing in the Event Log nor C:\Temp\. :(
Also, I know that I wasn't running the latest version. I've been busy with an extra job for the past week, so haven't been keeping up.
I'm just posting here to mention that I ran into this problem in case others see it. I can try to reproduce later in the week.

2 of my channels provide 12-hr EPG over air. Can NextPVR pull OTA EPG twice a day?

Fios cable card / Silicon Dust tuner?
I have been using OTA for years. NextPVR in the past few, which I love.
Something has happened to my local reception in the past several months. Don't know if it is the trees growing taller or an issue with the broadcast stations. Anyway, it is an issue and I am considering switching back to FIOS.
I think am going to wait for the new Silicon Dust Prime 6 to come out before I make a move.
I understand I need a cable card for the device. FIOS charges $4.99. I did a search and am not finding any alternative sources where I can just purchase the card. Am I stuck with paying FIOS or can the card be purchased somewhere?
Should NPVR be able to record from all 6 channels (once the driver for the new tuner has been developed of course ;) )?
Are there other alternatives to the HD Homerun?

UpdateEPG.bat works manually but not daily automatically. (script included)
Need help with auto EPG update. Followed the instruction in https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthrea...it-amp-Zap2xml to create update.bat, which is

Database deletes recording entry when .ts deleted but transcode exists.
In V4 if a .ts file is transcoded say to an .mp4 then the .ts is deleted, the database entry stays and the recording can still be played.
Is it envisaged in that V5 will be able to do the same? At the moment, if the .ts file is deleted, then the entry disappears from the recordings list.

Black Side Bars on some 16:9 TV channels here in Australia
Having problem with some TV channel not displaying correctly in there full 16:9 aspect ratio here in Sydney Australia. They have black bars down each side so its more like 15:9 aspect.
Channels in question are 9Life, 9GO!, 7food network and openshop on 7 network. All other channel from what I can tell seem to display correctly in the full screen 16:9 aspect with no black side bars. As do these channels on a regular TV. Just not when watching on PC using NextPVR software.
PC Setup:
TV tuner is Sony PlayTV,
Software is NextPVR (latest version)
OS is Windows 10 Pro.
I've also delete all channels and rescanned but that did not fix the problem. Anybody else experiencing this or have any ideas on what is causing the problem?

Skips in recordings
Hi. I have been having a problem lately when recording shows especially from the UK channels BBC1 and ITV1, where the recording will skip for seconds or minutes, multiple times within a recording. It often happens when recording the news, and this morning it happened again, when recording Songs of Praise. The recording should have been 40 minutes long, but in fact it is only 19 minutes, with many skips within. Any ideas why this happens? I have broken the log file into two parts, because otherwise it exceeds the maximum size for forum uploads.

Tuner Usage
I tried a little experiment with V5 to see if I could isolate its selection of which of three cable card tuners, 0, 1, or 2, to use for viewing. I got confusing results.
On Settings->Devices, I moved the lowest priority tuner, tuner 2, to the highest priority and selected a channel to view from the Channels page. Tuner 0 was selected. Why? I then removed all channels from tuner 0 and tried again(This also emptied my Favorites channel group). Again, tuner 0 was selected. How? I deleted all the channels from it. I looked at the devices page and found that the channel I'd selected to view was now listed for tuner 0! Very spooky.
Obviously I don't understand how this works so drawing conclusions from my testing is very likely useless. Unless there is a problem somewhere.
Can you help explain the results I observed?
